Rural And Northern Immigration Pilot Program
The RNIP Program is designed to assist immigrants to come to smaller communities under this program.
This five year pilot program is designed to help smaller communities with aging populations and labour shortages.
This program is community driven program that aims particularly to bring out the benefits of immigration.
To be included in this pilot program, the communities should fulfill the criteria
The communities should have a population of 50000 or less and should be located at least 75km from the core of a Census Metropolitan Area.
Or
Have a Population of upto 20000 people and is considered remote from other larges cities, according to the statistics Canada remoteness Index.
Process for Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot Program
- Before applying the candidates mush check if they meet both the federal government eligibility criteria and community specific requirements.
- Should find a job from the employers in participating community.
- After getting a job the candidate can apply for recommendation to the community.
- After getting recommendation from the community, the candidate can apply for permanent residency.
